SWDA is committed to ensuring that adolescent girls have access to quality education in safe, inclusive, and supportive learning environments. The organization addresses the social, economic, cultural, and infrastructural barriers that drive school dropout among vulnerable girls.

Interventions include establishing Girls’ Clubs and safe learning spaces, improving gender-responsive WASH facilities in schools, providing academic tutoring and mentorship, and delivering life skills and sexual and reproductive health education. SWDA also provides scholarships, learning materials, and targeted support for girls with disabilities, including visually impaired girls.

Innovative initiatives such as the Athletic Girls Scholarship Program integrate education, sports, nutrition, and leadership development to enhance girls’ confidence, performance, and future opportunities.

These interventions have significantly improved school retention and transition rates, with notable increases in progression from secondary to higher education, alongside stronger academic performance and leadership outcomes among supported girls.
