Humanitarian Response Action draft
For more than a decade, Siiqqee Women’s Development Association (SWDA) has been at the forefront of humanitarian response, supporting vulnerable communities across Oromia and beyond. Since 2014, we have delivered life-saving assistance and recovery support to women, children, and families affected by floods, conflict, and displacement.

Key Interventions:
👉 2014 Flood Response: Food and clothing support to 450
displaced households in Awash and Tefki.

👉 2021 Women’s Economic Empowerment: ETB 5,000 grants to 1,000 displaced women to start small businesses.
👉 Emergency aid to 600 households displaced by ethnic conflict.
👉 Current GBViE Project (2025–2026): Scaling up gender-based violence response in East and Kelem Wollega Zones, reaching 11,790 direct beneficiaries.
