Siiqqee Women’s Development Association (SWDA) is pleased to announce the official launch of its significant new project, “Strive for Improved Access to Sexual and Reproductive Health and Rights Information and Services.” This ambitious initiative marks a new chapter in SWDA’s commitment to empowering women and fostering sustainable community development across Ethiopia.

The project, made possible through a vital partnership with IPAS-Ethiopia, is set to be implemented in five key areas: Adama Rural Districts (East Shewa Zone), Gimbichu District, Ada’aa District, Batu Town Administration, and Bishoftu Town Administration. Its core objective is to significantly enhance access to crucial SRHR information and services for individuals within these communities.

Official Project Launch and Sensitization Workshop

SWDA is delighted to host the official project launching and sensitization workshop on Tuesday, July 22, 2025, at Kilole Hotel, Bishoftu Town, commencing at 8:30 AM. This pivotal event will serve as a platform to:

1. Formally introduce the project’s objectives and planned activities.
2. Foster strong collaboration between SWDA, government stakeholders, and community representatives.
3. Sensitize stakeholders to the importance of improving SRHR access for community well-being.

The workshop will bring together key government officials, local administrators, healthcare providers, and community leaders from the target areas. We are honored to have a representative from IPAS-Ethiopia, deliver a keynote address, emphasizing the transformative power of collaborative efforts in advancing SRHR. SWDA looks forward to a successful launch and the positive impact this project will have on the lives of countless individuals in the target districts and towns.
