Emergency & Humanitarian Response

SWDA provides timely, life-saving humanitarian assistance while supporting recovery and resilience among crisis-affected populations.

In line with international humanitarian standards, the organization delivers gender-responsive emergency interventions for communities affected by conflict, drought, floods, and displacement.

Key services include rapid response deployment, management of Women and Girls Safe Spaces (W/GSS), Gender-Based Violence in Emergencies (GBViE) case management, dignity kit distribution, protection monitoring, psychosocial support, and safety assessments. SWDA also supports early recovery and livelihood reintegration to help affected populations rebuild their lives with dignity.

The organization is scaling up GBViE response systems in emergency-prone and conflict-affected areas, ensuring that women and girls, especially internally displaced persons, have access to essential protection and support services.
