SWDA has been running a girls’ education and adolescent girls’ support program since 2008. The program is taking place  in Sheger Administration Sebeta Town and Arsi Zone Bokoji. In Sebta  there are 300 girl-students  involved in the program out of which 24 are full time residents  in the Girls’ Center constructed by SWDA. This project is fully sponsored by Partnership for Change (PfC), a funding agency based in Norway. In addition, SWDA implemented a project that supports 100 girl-students in Arsi  Zone Bokoji Wored.  This project provides school materials, life skill training, tutorial class  and athletic sport training for girl-students.   The necessary fund for this particular project is obtained from GIRLS GOTTA RUN Foundation, a USA based organization.

The Girls’ Education Project ensures the provision of effective girls’ education by creating a conducive school environment and through the provision of educational materials.
