Siiqqee Women’s Development Association Commemorates the Inauguration of Its Permanent Head Office
On Saturday, November 15, Siiqqee Women’s Development Association celebrated a significant milestone with the official inauguration of its permanent head office located at Jemo-1 Condominium, behind All Mart Supermarket in Addis Ababa. After several years of operating from rented premises, this achievement reflects the organization’s sustained growth, resilience, and the unwavering dedication of its staff, partners, and donors.
The inauguration ceremony included a ribbon-cutting event and featured eloquent addresses delivered by Mr. Fassikaw Molla, Deputy Director General of the Federal Democratic Republic of Ethiopia Authority for Civil Society Organizations (ACSO); Mrs. Zertihun Tefera, Executive Directress of SWDA; Dr. Kasahun Suleman, Deputy Board Chairman of Siiqqee Women’s Development Association; as well as a testimonial presentation from a distinguished guest recounting the organization’s journey over the years.
Key partners and staff members were also in attendance. Participants had the opportunity to observe comprehensive demonstrations of SWDA’s principal initiatives, showcased on banners and through guided visits of the office led by Mr. Gelelcha Neggasa. These demonstrations highlighted the association’s multifaceted programs dedicated to women’s empowerment, social justice, and community development.
